Are you a senior finance professional looking to use your expertise to help shape the future of one of the leading Olympic team sports?

England Hockey is seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director (Finance) to join its Board and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability, governance and strategic growth.

Term: 3 years

Time Commitment: Approximately 15 days per year

Location: A mix of remote meetings and attendance at England Hockey’s Head Office, Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre

Remuneration: Voluntary role with reasonable expenses reimbursed

Selection Criteria

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sport that engages thousands of participants across England, from grassroots hockey to Olympic success. As a Board member, you will provide strategic financial oversight, support effective governance and help drive opportunities for income diversification and sustainable growth.

We are looking for someone with:

• A recognised financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant senior-level financial leadership experience.
• Strong experience in financial governance, audit, risk management and strategic financial planning.
• Board, committee or senior leadership experience within a complex organisation.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to support sustainable income growth.
• A commitment to inclusive leadership and a passion for sport.
