About The Organisation

Position Description

British Dodgeball is now seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and forward-thinking individual with experience in Finance.

The role of Independent Non-Executive Director is a voluntary role with all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses fully reimbursed.

Time commitment: Approximately 2-3 days per month, typically 5-6 board meetings per year.

Term: 3 years (maximum of two terms)

Location: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales

Selection Criteria

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate some of the following:

  • Financial management, budgeting, and forecasting experience
  • Understanding of charity, not-for-profit, or sports organisation finances
  • Ability to interpret and challenge financial reports and performance data
  • Experience in risk management, financial controls, and compliance
  • Strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability expertise
  • Knowledge of governance and board-level decision-making
  • Experience supporting organisational growth and diversification of income streams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences
  • Commitment to supporting an inclusive, volunteer-led sporting community
