Position Description

Non-Executive Directors – People & Culture NED

We operate in a complex and fast‑evolving regulatory environment. Expectations of landlords have never been higher, and we are firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance and customer-focused delivery. Our Board plays a central role in shaping this future – offering scrutiny, assurance and constructive challenge, while supporting an organisation that values openness, integrity, learning and continuous improvement.

We are seeking to appoint two Non‑Executive Directors who will bring senior leadership experience, strong independence of thought, and the ability to influence, shape and support Moat’s strategic direction in this demanding environment. Board members at Moat work collaboratively with the Executive Team within a culture of respect, trust and accountability, and play a vital role in ensuring that customer voices help shape service improvement and decision‑making.

  • Knowledge of social housing or other sectors where customer experience and asset management come together.
  • Strong track record of shaping culture, influencing behaviours and embedding values to achieve better customer outcomes.
  • Ability to provide strategic challenge and assurance on workforce, culture, performance and organisational effectiveness.
