About The Organisation

  • A truly world class performing arts is inclusive of all talents and circumstances.
  • We work together to strengthen the voices of parents & carers.
  • We encourage a new mindset, that parents and carers enrich the performing arts.
  • We show what’s possible by amplifying the successes of our partner organisations.
  • We respect and value what everyone brings to PiPA.

Position Description

PiPA delivers its charitable mission through close collaboration between the Chair (or Co-Chairs), Trustees, and the Co-CEOs, who together shape the organisation’s vision and strategy. The Board is committed to diversity, inclusion, and representation, and is seeking dynamic Co-Chairs, or a single Chair, to help guide PiPA’s next phase of growth.

We’re looking for people who care deeply about making a difference, people who want to help shape a more compassionate, care-centred future for the performing arts.

We would especially like to hear from candidates with a commitment to anti-racism, EDIB (equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging) and a track record of inclusive leadership.

Applicants should have experience of charity governance and board practice with an inclusive and open approach to relationships and strong leadership skills. Our aim is to build a Board that truly represents the people we serve – in background, identity, experience, and voice. We want everyone to feel that they belong and can play a meaningful part in our work. The Chair / Co-Chair(s) will help us to sustain that culture.

We especially welcome people with lived experience that reflects the realities of care – whether you’re a carer or parent or someone from a background or identity that’s often under-represented in leadership.

If you’re passionate about what we do and ready to bring your experience to lead positive change in the performing arts, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note that the deadline for applications is Monday 11th May 2026, 11:00am.

  • Proven ability to build trust-based relationships and lead through inclusive approaches that strengthen consensus, promote shared leadership, and enhance effective governance and organisational success
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
